Personal Testimony - Geoff Wincote

After the death of my wife, I sadly drifted away from church until my son, Tony, and his wife, Ann, invited me to come with them to the “Time for God” services here on Thursday mornings.

It was through these services, through a special memorial service on “All Saints Day” last November, and emotional realisation of the terrible pain and suffering of the Lord on the cross for me, that my faith was renewed and deepened, and I would like to be baptised and become a member of the this church.

• I have repented of my sins and turned to the Lord for forgiveness and acceptance,
• I believe baptism is a sign of conversion to the Lord.
• Jesus, himself was baptised by John, setting an example.
• Philip baptised the Ethiopian Eunuch on his profession of faith.
• Paul was baptised after his conversion.
