Anthony was born in 1956 in south-west London. He was challenged about the Christian faith at a Boys’ Brigade Camp at the age of 14, and later went forward at a Baptismal Service to commit his life to Christ. He worked as a junior school teacher in Islington, before being called to the Baptist Ministry. While training for the Baptist Ministry at Spurgeon’s college in London (1982-86), he met and subsequently married Marianne, who is also an ordained Baptist Minister. Anthony spent five years at his first church, Milton Baptist Church in Weston-Super-Mare. Anthony’s second church was Worthing Baptist Church (1991-1998); then the family moved to Rugby (1998-2007). Rugby Baptist Church has grown spiritually, numerically and in community activities under Anthony’s ministry. Anthony was inducted into the ministry of Leamington Spa Baptist Church on 19th January 2008. Marianne has been concentrating on the family; Charys (13), Megan (11) and Joshua (9). Anthony is keen on sport, running regularly, supporting Chelsea Football Club and recently coaching a primary school soccer team. |
